SUNSHINE COAST RESORT COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Through implementation of unobtrusive and effective measures designed for our specific operation and our unique property, we are providing safety and peace of mind so our guests can have a worry free stay and our staff can have a worry-free work environment here at the Sunshine Coast Resort & Marina.
In our public areas, we have installed signs to encourage and ensure Physical Distancing. We have placed Hand-Sanitizing stations in key locations. Surfaces in our public areas are wiped down frequently. With only 15 accommodations in 5 buildings spread out over our 5 acres property, we are at an advantage when it comes to ensuring everyone has plenty of space, privacy and peace of mind while with us.
In our guest suites and cottages we have sanitizing dishwashers in the kitchen area where you will find your freshly sanitized dishes and kitchen wares ready for use without any possible contamination from outside sources. Our fully equipped kitchens make preparing meals as easy as possible whether you pick up a take-out meal from a restaurant or bring your own groceries. Linens and towels are all washed and sanitized on-site so there is complete control of these items and they never leave our building. We only use commercial cleaning and laundry products that are approved by the Canadian Government as cleaning agents that kill the Covid-19 virus.
Following the guidance and leadership of the Sunshine Coast Regional District our communal hot tub remains closed until further notice. The private hot tubs with our Executive Cottages are operational! All other facilities and services are offered and operational at this point.
Guests provided with personal size hand sanitizers upon arrival. Wipes and masks are available (on request). Disinfectant spray, cleaning cloths and paper towel in all rooms.
Social distancing enforced in all common areas at the Resort.
No international travellers at this point.
Reinforced cleaning protocols in public areas with frequent disinfection of all high touch areas.
Sanitizer stations provided in key public areas at the Resort.
Strengthened room cleaning protocols including extra disinfection of high touch room and bathroom areas.
“pick @ choose”
New “Pick & Choose” housekeeping menu for contactless daily housekeeping has been implemented in compliance with WorkSafeBC.
Contactless check-in, check-out and payments carried out whenever possible.
Employees given comprehensive safety and hygiene training.
Of course we are constantly looking out for new or revised guidelines from WorkSafeBC, the BC Health Officer and the Sunshine Coast Regional District and we implement them as we go along.
